| Note | If the following is the Henry Akers who married Christina Garst, it appears she died before June 1, 1850, since she is not in the household. Thus she was already deceased when her father Jacob wrote his will (as was his daughter Eve Garst Shoee, also in Putnam Co. IN). The location of this Henry Akers in Putnam, where many of Chistina's siblings lived certainly suggests he was the husband of Christina Garst. The birthplaces of daughters on the 1850 census also indicate the Akers family moved from VA to TN, and then to Putnam Co. IN. Putnam Co. IN, Russell twp, p. 423 Akers, Henry 55 Laborer b. VA Margaret 26 VA Mary 22 TN Catherine 18 IN William Hicks 23 KY William Hicks married Mary Akers in Putnam Co. 2 Mar 1851. There is also in Putnam Co., Russell twp. a Christopher Akers, age 25, b.
