Note	Age at death: 69 yr 10 mo 11 da Letters in the possession of John William Boyer (from Miss May Garst_[111648] in the early 1930's) suggest that Peter was originally a Tailor in Virginia. After his marriage to Barbara, moved to Washington Co., IN (til 1822), then to Putnam Co., IN for several years. In 1831, he moved to Edgar Co., IL, then to Vigo Co., IN in 1836, where he taught school. In 1842, he moved to New Market, IN, then returned to Vigo Co., IN before 1850. In 1866, he sold his farm and moved to IL where he died in 1869. Ephraim served in the Indiana Vols. Co., during the Civil War. (Notes by Joseph Edward Garst)

Letters in the possession of John William Boyer (from Miss May Garst_[111648] in the early 1930's) suggest that Peter was originally a Tailor in Virginia. After his marriage to Barbara, moved to Washington Co., IN (til 1822), then to Putnam Co., IN for several years. In 1831, he moved to Edgar Co., IL, then to Vigo Co., IN in 1836, where he taught school. In 1842, he moved to New Market, IN, then returned to Vigo Co., IN before 1850. In 1866, he sold his farm and moved to IL where he died in 1869. Ephraim served in the Indiana Vols. Co., during the Civil War.
